Hello, so nice to meet you! I am Bonnie Keren He, an multimedia artist deeply inspired by the details of life and the interplay between culture, identity, and nature. Born in New York City and raised in Suzhou, China, my work reflects a blend of Eastern and Western influences, brought to life through mediums like colored pencil, acrylic, embroidery, and performing arts.
Growing up in an artistically inclined family,I have been influenced by their variety of media uses and appreciations in the miniscule details of life, thus, the voice portrayed in my artworks are also revolving around my own abstract lens. My art style revolves around the realistic representation of my own life with the smallest twist of fantasy, therefore, with the diversity of colors and media, my works are often sprinkled with a twist of abstract execution.
Throughout my artistic journey since the age of seven, my art pieces, including dancing performances and modeling, have found appreciative audiences. As a current 10th grade student at Northfield Mount Hermon School, I had the honor to represent my school’s art program by obtaining 21 scholastic art awards in the span of two years. I was also the first Asian teenager to host a solo exhibition at the Nassau County Museum of Art in 2022 and had the opportunity to become one of the few National Honors Society for Dance choreographers selected to represent my school in the National Dance Festival of the USA.
